Recalling the brief run of Mini Object Lessons at The Atlantic, each piece will take on a single topic and bore into it quickly yet deeply, and then stop at 500 words. Occasionally, authors from the Object Lessons book series with Bloomsbury will contribute Impressions that spur from their longer investigations.
Submissions will be accepted through the Object Lessons portal and will be reviewed and selected by the editorial staff in the Office of Public Scholarship at Washington University in St. Louis. The editors will not consider submissions over 500 words.
